マツダ、新型「CX-80」の「Biofuel車」を「ジャパンモビリティショー2024」で初展示 バイオ燃料の可能性を見せる
マツダは10月15日~18日の期間、日本自動車工業会主催の「ジャパンモビリティショービズウィーク2024(会場:幕張メッセ)」に出展している。 【画像】CX-80 Biofuel車の説明パネル 合同展示コーナーでは、次世代バイオディーゼル燃料を使用する「CX-80 Biofuel車」を初展示。10月10日に発売したばかりのCX-80(ディーゼルエンジン搭載車)でも、次世代バイオ燃料の対応に向けて実証実験を行なっているという。 また、次世代バイオ燃料の製作工程を説明するショーケースでは、フェーズ1の「種まき」、フェーズ2の「光合成」、フェーズ3の「CO2吸収」、フェーズ4の「撹拌」、フェーズ5の「油脂蓄積」、フェーズ6の「収穫」と、水の色を変化させることで製作工程を分かりやすく説明している。 フェーズ1の種まき段階ではCO2の含有量が1リッターあたり105kgだが、工程を通過することで、CO2の含有量は1リッターあたり108kgまで増加。バイオマスの含有量も0から12g/Lまで増えている。現状ではマツダの広島工場内にある小さなプラントで開発している段階だが、国内で石油由来の燃料を製作できるようになれば、海外から石油を輸入する必要もなくなり、外的要因を受けなければ価格も安定するほか、製造場所として、後継者不在で放置されている田んぼの再利用できる可能性もある。 また、研究開発途中で青魚と同じ成分が取れることも判明したとのことで、油だけでなく健康へとつながる材料の開発など、新たな可能性も出てくるという。 ブースでは、「2030VISION」「ひと中心」の思想や研究開発を紹介するパネルや、3分の2スケールのロードスターを展示。新しい仲間づくりの場となるブースとなっている。
